XrandR replaced both it and Xinerama (which has zero acceleration in everything but the primary monitor with our Optiplexes) in the source tree OpenBSD follows. Configuration took some finagling but I finally got it working, and it's a lot better. I even have some buggy compositing and even more buggy rendering engines to play with.
